4 Stars, Dish Magazine
Soft and plummy on the nose it might be, but in the mouth it's much more punchy with round, rich, vibrant fruit and tangy, drying tannins. "A big, brooding style," said one judge.

5 Stars & a 'Top 10' NZ Pinot Noir
Nothing amiss with Amisfield's current release, A languid silkiness characterises the texture; plums, spice and dried herb flavours are supported by rich tannins and superb acidity. Definitely a sleeper that will reward at least five years in the cellar.

4 Stars Michael Cooper
The 2009 vintage is dark and vibrantly fruity, with generous plum, cherry, spice, herb and nut flavours, woven with fresh acidity. A big, youthful, fairly firm wine, it has the power to age.

Steven Tanzer
"Ripe, sexy aromas of raspberry, smoke, minerals and chocolate. It's juicy, concentrated and firmly built, with an enticing restrained sweetness to the flavors of dark cherry, pomegranate and minerals. This generous, complex, very long pinot finishes with firm tannins but a pliant texture".
Steven Tanzer, October 2011
